More Insights From Automatic Writings

Lately, I've been re-reading several books with automatic writings, and each time I'm amazed by the insights spirit authors bring.  The biggest takeaway I had from my most current readings was that everything we do and every action we take should be centered around love and how we can help others.  

While a beautiful and noble cause, this would initially seem to be a tall order that most people would have difficulty completing.  Yet the missing piece I discovered was that spirit wasn't referring to huge, sacrificial actions but small things that we can do every day.  This spreads the feeling of love everywhere and elevates the vibration of the population one person at a time.

It's similar to the saying I've heard called "One holy moment every day."  At first I thought that was impossible and required too much to accomplish.  It sounded like one had to do something holy that was religious, pious and really weighty. 

 In fact, it only means do one nice thing for someone else each day.  Ideas that come to mind include:  

* hold the door open for someone;

* help someone cross the street;

* pick up someone's newspaper for them;

* smile and be nice to someone to cheer them up; 

* pay for the person behind you in a coffee line

These are tiny actions that are so easy for us that they seem almost insignificant.  The thing is though, that because we're doing something nice  out of the kindness of our heart to a stranger, it is more meaningful to them and they are more appreciative.  Make someone else smile or feel good about the world and pay it forward.  This becomes infectious as others become more loving themselves, they will in turn do loving things for others.  Soon the entire world could be a more loving place.  This is really what love is all about: doing something nice for someone else without expecting anything in return, just because it feels good.  

What was so stunning was the fact that every spirit author emphasized how important love is in the spirit world as well as in the physical.  Clearly the more we practice be loving to others in the physical, the more we grow our spirit here and in turn will more appreciate how important love is in the spirit world.  That was a message that came through loud and clear and one that I've now taken to heart.  I hope you do too.
