What Are Spirit Guides and Their Roles?-Part 2
Last week, I discussed what guides were, how they come into your life and what they can do for you. This week, I wanted to go into more detail and describe different types of spirit guides and how they work with you on a daily basis.
Recall, you receive guides at different ages and stages of life depending on your needs. You have an inner band of five to seven spirit guides that are available to you most of your life, and an outer band consisting of specialist guides you can call on when needed. These specialty guides are similar to specialty contractors that come in for specific jobs. Spirit guides usually fulfill different roles in your life. All these guides are directed by one main guide, a Master Guide.
Master Guides
Your Master Guide is the manager or director of your spirit team. This is the guide you will see most frequently. Its role is to direct the rest of your spirit team and act as your go-to person. It heads up your team and has been involved in many of your incarnations. Your Master Guide is usually a member of your soul family. The Master Guide teaches you soul lessons and inspires you to fulfill your destiny and is often your Teacher Guide.
Gatekeeper Guides
Your Gatekeeper Guide is the bouncer of your spirit team. Its role is to keep you safe. This guide offers physical and psychic protection to all spirit communicators, allowing only higher vibrational energies and the most appropriate spirits to work with you. The Gatekeeper also ensures that spirits don’t crowd you and only approach you one at a time.
The Gatekeeper is strong in manner and character and often has a large, strong etheric body to match. It is often of indigenous heritage to wherever you live or of your ancestry. While often human in appearance, it can also appear as a larger animal such as an elephant, panther, or wolf. You call on the Gatekeeper when you need strength, courage, and bravery … or to have with you all the time as a spiritual protector to watch over you.
Message Bearer (Messenger) Guides
The Message Bearer Guide assists you in finding and obtaining information; improving your ability to get, hear, and deliver messages from the spirit world; and in developing clairaudient or clairvoyant skills. Many psychics, mediums, and those who work in the Akashic Records use Message Bearer Guides during readings and for the information they provide to others. While Message Bearer Guides are usually humans, they can appear in the form of a bird, usually a hawk or eagle, because of their ability to travel great distances in a short amount of time to obtain information quickly and swiftly with little detection, which can be quite helpful.
Healing Guides
Your Healing Guide helps you with your spiritual, emotional, and physical health. This is the medic of your spirit team. This guide is responsible for healing your energy field and chakras, as well as teaching you how to heal yourself and others. They are excellent guides for anyone working in a healing profession such as energy healing or surgery. However, you may connect with a Healing Guide to improve your well-being. These guides were often healers in their time on earth, and often appear as ancient monks, Old-World shamans, and spiritual healers on the other side.
Teacher Guides
Your Teacher Guide helps you with your spiritual growth. The Teacher Guide assists with your soul’s growth, teaching you things related to the life lessons you are here to learn. It directs you to books you need to read and classes you need to take, and it introduces you to new and necessary physical teachers here on earth. Teacher Guides assist you in understanding the philosophical and spiritual aspects of any studies you undertake while on earth. Teacher Guides help you learn your lessons through action.
Joy Guides
Typically your Joy Guide is an uplifting source of energy that tries to boost your spirits when you’re feeling glum or just sort of ho-hum. It helps you enjoy your physical life and bring opportunities in your path that help bring feelings of happiness and love.
Joy Guides more often than not appear to you as a young child (often a little girl), symbolizing youthful energy, innocence, happiness, joy (obviously), fun, and bubbly effervescence. Imagine all the traits of a happy young child, and that is your Joy Guide wrapped into a package. Think of Tinker Bell, Peter Pan, or any other young, happy fantasy character, and you begin to understand what a Joy Guide can do. I find one of the most important guides in everyone’s life is probably a Joy Guide.
Doctor (Philosophy) Guides
Philosophy Guides often provide great wisdom and insight into more profound subjects, including your purpose, the meaning of life, creation, explanation for higher level activities and thinking and often great writings and poetry. Doctor of Philosophy Guides were often professors or renowned thinkers of their time and seek to share their knowledge and thought process with those in the physical.
Chemist Guides
Your Chemist Guide is an important member of your team. This guide works with your energy and the chemical composition of your different subtle energy bodies. A Chemist Guide often works together with a Healing Guide to help restore the etheric and energetic bodies back to proper health. They act in much the same way as a pharmacist and a physician in the physical plane work together.
These are just some of the most prominent spirit guides that are commonly working with you for most of your physical life experience. You may never know this team of guides is even working with you, for they are usually in the background, working to keep your spirit and energetic surroundings in peak performance, much like a team of mechanics on a race track that work in the background to keep a race car in peak condition so that it can effectively run its race.
Spirit guides come into your life with love and compassion. They are here to help you stay on your path, remain aligned with your soul contract and achieve your soul’s desired growth. Think of your guides as your biggest team of helpers and cheerleaders who are here to see you succeed in every endeavor that’s in the best interest of your soul’s purpose. However, unless you open yourself to the help your guides offer, your guides can not help you on their own. It’s a cooperative effort.
