Can Anyone Contact Spirit?

Everyone has the innate ability to communicate with spirit, for we are all spirit residing in a human body for a set period of time. If you want to communicate with spirit, you must be fully open to spirit in all its manifestations, have a loving heart and maintain a spiritual connection to the Divine. While everyone has the ability to communicate with spirit, it does come easier to some and not others.

I'd compare this ability to great concert pianists learning how to play the piano. Everyone has the ability to play the piano. However, it comes easier to some than it does to others.

Some people can learn the piano extraordinarily quickly and become fantastic in a very short time, while others have to practice for inordinate amounts of time to just master the basics. Some people not only can easily learn how to master the piano quickly, but they have the passion and drive to practice so intensely that eventually their ability to play the piano far surpasses everyone else.

It's all a matter of degree.

Most spirits come to us with love and want only the best for us. Spirits were people like us when they lived on earth. However now they carry no ego and are significantly closer to loving Source energy.

While most everyone on earth is generally kind, you're always going to find some people who are mean or ill-willed. Same in the spirit world.

As long as you work with loving thoughts, no "non-loving" energy can interfere with you. Like attracts like. This is why when you communicate with spirit, you want to focus on loving energies with everything you do. Pick your favorite higher spiritual being (an angel, Jesus, God, or whatever resonates with you) and ask for them to surround you with their Loving Light.

Set your intention to only speak with spirit that comes with the highest loving energy and best intention for all those concerned. It's a universal law that spirit cannot interfere with our free will. So if we expressly state we only want to communicate with loving energies, that's all we'll connect with.

Some of the most readily available spirits who would love nothing more than to communicate with you are your loved ones in spirit and your spirit guides. They may already be trying to contact you, but you just don't realize it yet.

You may not even be open to it yet. We all tend be more skeptical of things we cannot see, touch or readily prove. This skepticism grows as we move from childhood to adulthood.

For example, when we feel a sudden tingling or temperature change we chalk it up to something in our bodies or the room we're in. When something falls all by itself or we hear a strange noise when we're alone, we figure it was just the shifting of the house and not some unseen hand. When we see a quick flash or speck of light out the corner of our eye but see nothing when we turn that direction, we figure it was just a reflection or our imagination.

We may just be repeating what our parents told us when we were children. Spirit is always trying to get our attention, let us know they're still with us, communicate with us and get us to open up to their very existence. It will do anything to accomplish that.

We spiritual beings living in temporary physical shells can all communicate with our spirit brothers and sisters. We just need to expand our minds to not only understand their presence, but to learn how to communicate with them.

This is a process that requires time, hard work, persistence, patience and most of all desire. While this is not easy, the end result of communicating with spirit and hearing their loving messages is rewarding and well worth the effort.
