Module 1 is about building the ground floor of your spiritual development: a calm, grateful, positive mind. Everything you'll learn later in this course, from meditation to sensing energy to connecting with spirit, works better from this foundation, and most of it doesn't work at all without it.

Before you begin lesson 1: have your journal nearby for every lesson in this module, and make sure your daily study time from the welcome module is on your calendar. One or two lessons a day, exercises included, is the pace that works.
Something to sit with as you start: when was the last time you felt truly grounded, steady, calm, and fully present? What was different about that day?
