Spiritual Independence
We feel burdened by our thoughts of inability, lack, pessimism, negativity, and fear. That's not truly allowing ourselves to be free by any stretch.
One thing I've learned from spirit is how free they've become from the material world and the burdens they once carried. Without any ego or typical worries we have here in the physical, spirit is free to act, pla,y and behave without a concern in the (spiritual) world.
Spirit often tries to pass messages to loved ones here on earth to live life to the fullest, act as if you had one week left on earth, and not care about all your daily worries. If we would only wake up to the reality that we have everything we need already, then our lives would be so much more upbeat.
Life is measured by how you live it and what you do with it. Some of the poorest people on the planet are also some of the happiest. Happiness certainly doesn't come from material possessions. Spirit can confirm that.
We need to listen to the wisdom our spirit friends (and founding fathers from 1776) and follow the "Pursuit of Happiness." Replace judgment with love. Choose positivity over pessimism. Release fear-based actions and notions. Instill a feeling of abundance rather than a feeling of lack.
Spirit is truly free and carries the most independence we could imagine as it no longer has any concerns. We should look to spirit as a role model, for not only is spirit truly free and unburdened, but it focuses its actions from the standpoint of love and the positive benefits ones' actions can contribute to another. As Jesus said, "Do Unto Others What You Would Have Them Do Unto To You."
Just like a civilized society has laws, the universe also has its laws that are always in effect, whether we choose to follow them or not. Our actions do have consequences. The law of Cause and Effect, also known as Karma, is one of the main laws we should think about. While this law allows us to be be completely free and independent, it does state that our actions do ultimately have direct effects, now or later.
If we are loving to others, for example, that love boomerangs back to us, and in a greater amount than we gave out. The opposite is equally true. Also whatever we do to someone in this life, when we arrive in the spirit world, we do have a rapid life review.
In this life review, we see, experience, and feel our actions from the perspective of the person we impacted, so we get a first-hand understanding of the effect we caused that person--good or bad. That's quite a lesson to learn when we land on the other side. Wouldn't it be nice to learn the lesson in advance?
